The 2009 County
Convention of the Watauga
County Democratic Party will convene at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, in the
main courtroom of the Watauga County Courthouse.
The convention will be preceded by delegate and guest
registration at noon, along with a potluck luncheon, in the third-floor lobby
of the courthouse.
Convention delegates and guests will hear key-note addresses
by State Senator Steve Goss, State Representative Cullie Tarleton, Chair of the
Watauga County Commission Jim Deal, and Boone Mayor Loretta Clawson.
The principal business of the convention will be the
election of county executive officers, the election of delegates to the 5th
Dist. Convention on May 16, and the consideration of a number of resolutions
submitted to the convention by different precincts.
