No-Excuse
One-Stop Voting:
You
do not have to wait until May 6th to vote! You
do not need a reason ("excuse") to vote early. Early voting in
the May 6th Primary will commence on Thursday, April 17, 8 a.m. - 5
p.m., in two locations: Agricultural Conference Center, off Poplar
Grove Rd., and in the Board of Elections office, ground floor of the
County Courthouse. Early voting will continue every weekday from April
17 through May 2 (8 a.m. - 5 p.m.), and on Sat., May 3rd, 8 a.m. - 1
p.m.
Absentee
Ballots:
Every citizen is eligible to vote by mail if they can not get to
the polls on election day.
North Carolina has
specific absentee voting requirements. Contact the Board of Elections
(address below) and request an absentee ballot or call 828-265-8061.
The Board of Elections will mail the ballot to you after they receive
your completed form.
